Patriots To Place OL Ryan Wendell On I.R. & Activate C Bryan Stork

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots are expected to place OL Ryan Wendell on season-ending injured reserve and activate C Bryan Stork.

Stork, 24, was placed on injured reserve with the designation to return at the start of the regular season. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $2.697 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $510,000 for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Stork appeared in 13 games for the Patriots.

Wendell, 29, is in the final year of his two-year, $6.85 million contract that included a $850,000 signing bonus. He’ll make a base salary of $1 million for the 2015 season before testing the free agent market next March.

This season, Wendell has been limited to appearing in just two games for New England.
