Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that the Patriots intend to sign WR/KR Damaris Johnson to a contract on Tuesday.

Johnson was among the players who tried out for New England on Monday.

The Patriots waived WR/KR Chris Harper yesterday after he fumbled towards the end of regulation during Sunday’s loss to the Broncos.

Johnson, 26, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Tulas back in 2012. Philadelphia cut him at the start of last year and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Texans.

Houston re-signed him to a one-year contract back in March before waiving him at the start of the season.

In 2014, Johnson appeared in 16 games and caught 31 passes for 331 yards receiving and a touchdown.
