Patriots Use Original-Round Tender On OT Cameron Fleming

Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that the Patriots have informed restricted free agent OT Cameron Fleming that they will place an original-round tender on him.

The original-round tender will cost the Patriots around $1.797 million for the 2017 season and give them the right of first refusal for any offer sheet he receives from another team during free agency. The Patriots would get a fourth-round pick if the elect to pass on an offer sheet Fleming receives.

Fleming, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2014. Fleming was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Patriots’ practice squad before being called up a month later.

In 2016, Fleming appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and played a total of 301 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
