Patriots Viewed As Team To Watch In Potential Trade Up For QB

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots are viewed as the team to watch when it comes to trading up for a quarterback, depending on whether one of the top prospects starts dropping in round one.

New England obviously has the draft picks to move up pretty high if they feel this is the best move for them.

Earlier in the day, Rapoport reported that the Patriots have “legit” interest in Louisville QB Lamar Jackson, who met with New England twice during the pre-draft process.

While a trade is clearly something to watch for the Patriots, not everyone is convinced that they’ll be aggressive in round one.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com expects New England to stay where they are and use the picks before turning their attention to the quarterback position on Day 2.

We’ll have more regarding the Patriots as the news is available.
