The New England Patriots have placed DBÂ Cedric Thompson on waivers Sunday, according to his agent David Canter.

Thompson, 23, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins in 2015. He was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason last year, but was added to the Dolphins’ practice squad at the start of the season.
The Patriots would later sign him to their active roster before bringing him back on a future/reserve contract this past January.
Thompson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
