The New England Patriots placed DB Dewey McDonald on waivers Saturday, according to the NFL transactions release.
McDonald, 25, signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of California (PA) back in May of last year. Since then, he’s been on and off of the team’s practice squad.
The Patriots wound up claiming McDonald off of waivers from the Colts, but he’s been on an off of the team’s after roster in the past few weeks.
This season, McDonald has appeared in two games this season and recorded a single tackle.
