The New England Patriots officially waived DT Khyri Thornton on Thursday, according to the NFL transactions release.
- Patriots also released OT Brennan Williams from their practice squad.
Thornton, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Packers back in 2014. However, despite his draft status, Thornton lasted just a little over a year in Green Bay before he was waived over a month ago.
The Patriots wound up claiming him off waivers, but Thornton has been on and off of their practice squad since then.
Thornton has yet to appear in an NFL game
