Patriots Waive FB Glenn Gronkowski From Practice Squad

The Patriots have waived FB Glenn Gronkowski from their practice squad on Wednesday to make room for WR Shaq Evans, according to Doug Kyed.

The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:

1. RB Bishop Sankey
2. G Chris Barker
3. DE Geneo Grissom
4. WR Devin Lucien
5. S Vinnie Sunseri
6. WR DeAndrew White
7. DT Anthony Johnson
8. WR Shaq Evans
9. G Chase Farris
10. G Ian Silberman

Gronkowski, 23, wound up signing on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster a few weeks ago, but will not have to pass through waivers before signing on with a team of his choosing.

Gronkowski signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Bills but was waived a month ago. The Patriots signed him to their practice squad close to two weeks ago.

During his three-year college career, Gronkowski totaled 51 rushing yards on 16 carries (3.2 YPC) to go along with 15 receptions for 369 yards receiving and six total touchdowns.
