The New England Patriots have placed G Chase Farris on waivers Thursday with a non-football injury designation, according to Mike Reiss.
Farris, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in May of last year. He was unfortunately waived during the final week of the preseason before later signing on to Detroit’s practice squad.
The Lions cut Farris loose a few weeks later and he was one and off of the Patriots’ practice squad throughout the year. New England brought Farris back on a future/reserve contract this past February.
Farris has yet to appear in an NFL game.
