Patriots Worked Out LB Arthur Brown

Doug Kyed of NESN reports that the Patriots brought in LB Arthur Brown for a workout on Tuesday.

Brown, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Ravens but hasn’t come close to living up to his draft status. Brown is in the final year of his four-year, $3.554 million contract.

The Ravens cut Brown loose coming out of the preseason and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Jaguars. However, Brown’s stay in Jacksonville was limited to just a few weeks, as he was waived and later claimed by the Jets.

New York moved on from Brown last week and this is the first reported interest in him since he became available.

In 2016, Brown has appeared in 14 games and recorded three tackles for the Jaguars and Jets.
