Patriots Worked Out WR Breshad Perriman

Adam Schefter reports that the Patriots have brought in free agent WR Breshad Perriman for a workout on Friday.

The Patriots tried out veteran WR Jeremy Kerley early in the week, so they’re clearly kicking the tires on available receiver options.

Perriman, 24, is a former first-round pick out of Central Florida by the Ravens in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $8.705 million rookie contract and was set to earn a base salary of $972,606 for the 2018 season when he was cut loose coming out of the preseason.

The Redskins signed Perriman to a contract a few weeks ago only to cut him loose soon after.

In 2017, Perriman appeared in 11 games for the Ravens and recorded 10 receptions for 77 yards receiving and no touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him as the last overall receiver out of 116 players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
