Patriots Working Out FB Joey Iosefa Thursday

Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Patriots are bringing in former Buccaneers FB Joey Losefa for a workout on Thursday.

This comes after the Patriots placed FB James Develin on season-ending injured reserve with a broken leg.

Iosefa, 24, was taken in the seventh-round of this year’s NFL draft out of Hawaii. He had three years remaining on his four-year, $2,348,340 rookie contract when the Buccaneers waived him earlier in the week.

During his four years at Hawaii, Iosefa ran for 2,218 yards on 512 carries (4.3 YPC) to go along with 60 receptions for 438 yards receiving and 24 total touchdowns.
