Paul Soliai Could Be An Option For The Vikings?

Tom Pelissero of USA Today mentions that, after sitting in on the Vikings film session with new HC Mike Zimmer, he would be surprised if the did not make a run at Dolphins NT Paul Soliai in the coming weeks.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald recently reported that the Dolphins have yet to extend Soliai a contract offer, so it appears as though he will be looking for a new team soon enough.

The Vikings are expected to part ways with long-time defensive tackle Kevin Williams this offseason and Soliai is widely regarded as the best nose tackle available in this year’s free agent market.

Soliai, 30, signed a two-year extension with the Dolphins worth $12 million and included $6 million guaranteed back in 2012, but he should be able to do better than that this year.

We have him listed as the No. 21 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
