Possible Paxton Lynch Could Drop Out Of Round 1?

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s hard to find a landing spot for Memphis QB Paxton Lynch in round one, unless someone is hanging low about their plans to take him.

  • Schefter mentions that there’s at least a chance a team like the Cowboys could trade back into round one for Lynch.

The Jets and Bills were reportedly very interested in Lynch. However, there hasn’t been all that much buzz about them grabbing Lynch in round one in recent days, and a report from Wednesday said that the Jets had “cooled” on Lynch.

An interesting possibility could be the Saints, who are believed to be intrigued by Lynch. Although, others have said that New Orleans is focused on the defensive side of the ball and they’re picking No. 12 overall, so they should be in a great position to get a solid player.

One other possibility could be the Browns who traded back to No. 8 overall. If the Browns swing a deal with a team looking to move up like the Titans, it’s possible they could consider him in the middle of round one.

During his three years at Memphis, Lynch threw for 8,865 yards while completing 62.9 percent of his passes to go along with 59 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. He also contributed 687 yards rushing and 17 rushing touchdowns during this time.

We’ll have more regarding where Lynch could end up as the news is available.
