Percy Harvin’s Status Downgraded To Out Against The Packers

Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 has confirmed that Viking WR Percy Harvin (knee) is out  for  Sunday’s divisional game against the Packers.

After struggling in Wednesday’s practice, Harvin sat out both Thursday and Friday. Jarius Wright will again line up in the slot formation in Harvin’s absence

Vikings have listed WR Percy Harvin as doubtful with 25% chance of playing against the Packers on Week 13 , per Tom Pelissero.

“No real setbacks” HC Leslie Frazier said, “Just hasn’t made the improvement that I hoped.”

The Vikings will evaluate Harvin status in the upcoming hours, and will decide if he’s healthy enough to make the trip to Green Bay. If Harvin ends up missing the game, expect rookie WR Jarius Wright, who has been Ponder’s favorite target in last couple of weeks, to see a lot of playing time as the team’s slot receiver.

Vikings WR Percy Harvin suited up for practice Thursday but ultimately did not practice with the team, according to Mark Craig.

Sidelined the last two games by a left ankle injury, Harvin hasn’t been of much help to the Vikings lately and his suiting up is not a bad sign.

ESPN’s Kevin Seifert tweets that Harvin “could barely jog today” and adds that it’s “hard to see him playing” against the Packers this weekend.

The Vikings are 1-1 without their star wide receiver, so it’s safe to assume that Adrian Peterson will be a focal point of their offense against a Green Bay defense that hasn’t been great against the run this season.
