Peyton Hillis In Line For A New Contract?

Clevaland Browns RB Peyton Hillis is coming off of an incredible season that no one saw coming and was capped off by being voted on to the cover of EA Sports Madden 12. Hillis’s 2010 success should pay off big in the coming months as he’s now set to be a free agent at the end of the season. Cleveland is currently paying Hillis $550,000 for the upcoming season so a raise is in order at some point in time.

Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Browns intend to negotitate a new contract with Hillis before the end of the season rather than let him hit the open market.

We have Hillis listed as the No. 28 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
