Peyton Manning Not Expected To Be Back In Indy Despite Medically Clearance

ESPN’s John Clayton reports that some members within the Colts organization still have concerns about the nerves in neck. More specifically, Manning has dealt with some numbness and atrophy in the last few months which is a sign that he’s going to require more rehabilitation time before he can begin throwing the ball with the same velocity that he had in years past.

Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star doesn’t see Manning returning to the Colts next season even with today’s news.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that doctors have given Peyton Manning the clearance that he needed to resume his NFL career.

Obviously, this is great news for him and a number of NFL teams that are in need of help at the quarterback position. It will be interesting to see if the Colts even consider picking up his $28 million option even though they’re expected to release him.

At this point, it seems as though Manning is ready to move on and find a different team to finish his career with. We’ll have more as the news becomes available.

    •  I don’t see Peyton in a philly jersey happening at all and really you can’t see Vick winning a Super Bowl?? ~Interesting~ Besides Manning’s, Brees, Brady,  Big Ben and Rodgers, who DO you see winning a S.B? I think Vick has just as good of a chance as anyone else out there, if anything he has a better chance due to his versatility, then any of the other QB’s out there and this is coming from a Die hard Cowboys fan.
