Peyton Manning Could Return To NFL As GM Next Year; Browns, Titans & Rams Options?

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports (per Mike Jurecki) reported earlier this morning that Peyton Manning could return to the NFL as a GM next year. Interestingly enough, Glazer mentioned the Browns, Titans and Rams as three options worth keeping an eye on for Manning.

It’s possible that a team could lure Manning back to the NFL by offering him a small ownership percentage.

There has been talk of Manning taking a similar role to John Elway’s vice president position with the Broncos, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

The Titans are the most stable in terms of their front office, but Manning has ties to the state of Tennessee and even went to college there, so you can’t rule it out completely.

Recent reports have said that changes could be coming to the Browns’ front office, as the team continues to struggle on the field and to show much, if any, improvement in terms of their young talent coming together. It’s also worth mentioning that Manning has ties to Browns owner Jimmy Haslam.

The Rams have a new head coach in Sean McVay, but they also have a holdover GM in Les Snead, who has been criticized for some of the team’s roster moves the past few years.

It’s possible another opportunity will surface based on how things play out over the next three months.

We’ll have more regarding Manning possibly returning to the NFL as the news is available.
