Peyton Manning’s MRI Reveals “No New Damage”

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that an MRI Monday morning revealed that Peyton Manning aggravated his right high ankle sprain and he has “no new damage.”

  • Klis’ source added that Manning “absolutely will play Sunday against Chiefs.”

Manning was not sporting a boot on his injured foot, which was the first indication that injury wasn’t all that serious. Manning’s took a low hit towards the end of Sunday’s win over the Chargers. Initially, it looked like Manning may have suffered a knee injury, but that is clearly not the case.

“I’m pretty sore,” Manning said following the game. “They kind of got me twice in that lower area. … Get an MRI tomorrow and will know more then.

It would be very disappointing to see the Broncos go up against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs without Manning under center.
