Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Panthers.
“Shanahan said that receiver Pierre Garcon(toe) did not practice and won’t try to play until after the bye,” wrote Mike Jones of the Washington Post.
The Redskins bye is Week 10, so the hope is for Garcon to make his return to the field for Week 11’s game against the Eagles. However, there’s no guarantee that Garcon will be able to play in Week 11, as he was unable to run at full speed just a week ago. It’s been a disappointing year for Garcon, who signed a $42.5 million contract with the Redskins during the offseason, as has only played in three games this year.
