Plaxico Burress Has His Wish List Down To Four Teams

While appearing on Sirius NFL Radio free agent WR Plaxico Burress discussed some of the NFL teams that he’ll consider signing with in the coming weeks, per Ralph Vacchiano.

Burress specifically mentioned the Eagles, Giants, Steelers, and Jets as his preferred destinations. He’s coming off a mildly productive season in which he was able to catch a decent number of touchdowns but displayed very little ability to separate on routes. He’ll be 35 at the start of the 2012 season so he’s looking at playing for a minimum salary at this point.

Looking at the options that he listed, it’s hard to imagine that he’ll find a ton interest from these teams. The Giants and Steelers have little money to spend even though Burress isn’t going to require a huge contract and the Jets have already indicated that they’re prepared to move on without him. Philly just franchised DeSean Jackson but could show some interest. I’m not ruling any of these teams out but they’ll have to make other moves before they consider signing Burress.
