During an appearance on WMVP in Chicago, Plaxico Burress mentioned that he has the Chicago Bears in his top three destinations but Neil Hayes of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Bears may not be interested in signing the veteran wideout.
“There are a lot of situations for me to go into. It’s not solely going to be based on how much I’m going to be making. It’s going to be based on me putting myself in a great situation,” Burress said.
Hayes points out that Burress isn’t a good fit for Mike Martz‘s offense and adds that the Bears may only be interested if he’s willing to sign for a relatively cheap price. From Burress’s comments upon, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Chicago is believed to be interested in bringing a larger receiving option but that option may be Vikings WR Sidney Rice rather than Burress who happens to be 10 years older than Rice.
