Poll: Who Got The Better End Of The Logan Mankins Trade?

The New England Patriots traded Pro Bowl G Logan Mankins to the Buccaneers in return for TE Tim Wright and a 2015 fourth-round pick.

Tampa Bay clearly need to find some help at guard and they managed to acquire a six-time Pro Bowler before the start of the season.

While the move may seem a little curious from the Patriots, they have made similar moves in years past with players like WR Randy Moss and DL Richard Seymour. The Patriots got a young player who appeared in all 16 games last season and a draft pick for Mankins, who is 32 years old and comes with a large salary.

Which team do you think got the better end of this trade?

  1. personally I believe losing Lagan Mankins will hurt the Patriots more than getting Wright will help them…….heck he might not even make the final cut……

    • Mankins is unfortunately on the downside and has been for a couple of years. He allowed the most sacks on the team which can be misleading but if you monitor his play over the past couple years he’s not playing up to his reputation or salary in my opinion. I could be wrong but the seem to have quite a bit of depth on the O-line at this point and getting a player and a pick for a guard is a decent trade.
