“Possibility” Ricky Stanzi Starts For KC In Week 16

Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel mentioned Brady Quinn‘s recent rib injury could force them to start second-year QB Ricky Stanzi against the Colts next weekend.

There’s a possibility,” said Crennel, via the Kansas City Star. “Like I said last week, there’s a possibility, and I mentioned injuries as one of the reasons. We’ll see what Brady looks like, and then we’ll make some decisions and go from there.”

Quinn will be evaluated throughout the week before the decides on their starting quarterback. This just further illustrates that Matt Cassel is no longer part of the team’s future and seems very likely to be released following the season.

It’s hard to say that Stanzi gives them any shot of winning a game, but neither do the other two.
