Potential Backup QB Targets For The Eagles This Offseason

With Michael Vick likely to seek another opportunity as a starter in the NFL, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer takes a look at some potential offseason options for the Eagles and their soon-to-be vacant backup quarterback position.

According to Berman, the Eagles could consider veteran free agents including Colt McCoyJosh Freeman, Chad Henne and Tavaris Jackson.

Berman mentions that McCoy is an “intriguing” option given that he offers mobility and experience, and is still just 27-years-old.

Berman doesn’t rule out the Eagles looking targeting someone in the draft and specifically mentions Georgia’s Aaron Murray, Clemson’s Tajh Boyd and Virginia Tech’s Logan Thomas as two guys who could be relative bargains in the later rounds.
