QB Vince Young Determined to Return to NFL

Free agent QB Vince Young is determined to return to the NFL, according to ProFootballTalk.

“I made some mistakes. And when you have the type of mistakes that I have, being quarterback in the NFL, it can ruin your career. So right now, I’m trying to fight hard to give it another go, another shot,” Young said.

Young, a two-time Pro Bowl quarterback, last surfaced as a back-up quarterback in Buffalo and hopes to catch on with another team. The story cites Young’s bad financial situation as a reason the signal caller wants to return to the league.

  1. I like Vince Young,… He can still play at a HIGH level, (31 wins say so)…. Here are a few facts and facts do not lie….. His NFL won/loss record right now is 31-19 as a starting quarterback… He has playoff experience … He’s a 2 time Pro-Bowler… He was voted 2006 NFL Rookie of the Year….. In 2010, Vince Young had a quarterback rating of 98.6 .. ………………………
The NFL is all about “WINS and LOSSES”…. and Vince can WIN………… ANY quarterback in the NFL with that kind of record would easily be given, chance after chance to play on an N.F.L team …… Vince Young has earned that right……. Give it to him….
If you bring in Vince Young NOW… sign him to a 1 year contract and evaluate him… Next year at the very least, you will have a GOOD backup quarterback..

  2. If Vince Young wants to prove himself he needs to get into the Arena Football 1 league and get some updated game film and playing time under game situations and show everyone that yes he does have it still and he has got himself back to where he was.
Ahmaad Carrol took his game to the AF1 which landed him a starting spot for Toronto Argos in the CFL helping them to a Grey Cup victory. Teams take care of your housing and meals along with small game salary
