Quintin Mikell Done In Philadelphia?

A few months ago Philadelphia Eagles S Quintin Mikell made some comments regarding his future with the team and at the time it didn’t seem as though he was to optimistic about the idea but from his recent comments, that may have changed.

“It’s been crazy [this offseason] but I’m not even concerned about it anymore,” Mikell said, per Josh Goldman of the Philadelphia Daily News. “We’re so deep in the lockout I don’t even care. I’m just worried about staying in shape and making sure I’m ready to go. Obviously, I would like to be back here with the Eagles, but at this point I’m not sure what their thinking is. I am fairly sure that there’s going to be a lot of people interested in me if I hit the market so either way I’ll be fine.”

There are a number of teams that will be looking for help at the safety position and Mikell’s experience and ability should leave him as on of the best available options. The market for safeties would most likely include: Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Rams.
