Raiders Could Be Closing In On An Agreement With LT Jared Veldheer

Update:

———–

Ian Rapoport reports that “nothing imminent” between the Raiders and LT Jared Veldheer.

  • Rapoport adds that Veldheer is expected to consider his options this weekend as well as possibly testing the open market next week.
  • According to Rapoport, the Raiders did make Veldheer an offer, but nothing is agreed to at this point in time.

———-

According to Chris Hansen of the Bleacher Report, the Oakland Raiders have reached an agreement with LT Jared Veldheer on a five-year contract.

  • Hansen’s source has informed him that the deal includes $23 guaranteed and a sixth-year option.
  • Hansen adds that Veldheer has yet to sign the contract offer and is working to confirm the report with other sources.

Veldheer, 26, figures to be one of most sought after left tackles in free agency. He suffered a partially torn triceps back in August, and although there was talk that he could be placed on season-ending injured reserve, he managed to return in Week 13.

We have Veldheer listed as the No. 7 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.

We’ll have more as the news is available.
