Raiders Cut 12 Including Trent Richardson, Ras-I Dowling & Trindon Holliday

The Oakland Raiders announced a series of roster moves on Tuesday, as they got their roster trimmed down to 75 players.

Here are the players who have either been released or placed on waivers:

Oakland also placed OT Menelik Watson on season-ending injured reserve.

Richardson, 25, signed a two-year, $3.85 million contract that included $600,000 guaranteed with the Raiders back in March. He was set to make a base salary of $925,000 for the 2015 season.

Releasing Richardson will free up $1,275,000 in cap space, according to OverTheCap.com.

In 2014, he ran for 519 yards on 159 carries (3.3 YPC) to go along with 27 receptions for 229 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 29 running back out of 57 qualifying players.

Holliday, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2010. He spent two years with the Texans before later being claimed off of waivers by the Broncos.

Since the, Holliday has played for a number of teams including the Giants, Buccaneers, and most recently the 49ers. However, San Francisco elected to cut him loose shortly after the draft. THe Raiders later signed him to a contract in June.
