Raiders Expected To Approach Carson Palmer About Restructuring His Contract

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders will attempt to restructure QB Carson Palmer‘s contract that will pay him $13 million for the 2013 season.

Schefter adds this move could be similar to what the Eagles did with Michael Vick in recent weeks.

Oakland is still trying to get their financial situation under control, so it makes plenty of sense that they would approach Palmer regarding his current cap number.

Palmer, 33, actually played better than most people thought he would. Turnovers are still a concern for him, but he represents the Raiders best option at this point, even though they’ve said they’re willing to give Terrelle Pryor an opportunity to compete in training camp.
