Raiders Fear DE Justin Tuck Could Miss Several Games, Possibly Season

Ian Rapaport of NFL Media reports that the Raiders are worried veteran DE Justin Tuck may have suffered a torn pectoral muscle.

According to Rapoport, the injury will cause Tuck to miss “several games, possibly the season.

Tuck sustained the injury during the fourth quarter of Oakland’s loss last week to the Broncos.

Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio told reporters earlier in the day the MRI on Tuck’s shoulder was “not good,” per Scott Bair.

Oakland will likely use the bye week to make a decision on Tuck before making a roster move, if necessary.

Tuck, 32, is in the second year of a two-year free agent contract worth $11 million. He had one sack and seven tackles in five games this season. In 11 NFL seasons, Tuck has 66.5 sacks, most of which came during his first nine seasons with the Giants.
