Raiders Likely To Be Without Rookie LT Menelik Watson For A Month

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Raiders second-round pick LT Menelik Watson underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair torn lateral meniscus last week, and is expected to be out for the next month.

Oakland is already without, arguably, their best player in Jared Veldheer for a good portion of the season. It appeared as though they were willing to give veteran Alex Barron a shot handling the position a few weeks ago, but they ultimately cut him loose.

As things stand right now, Khalif Barnes and Tony Pashos are their starting tackles, so Watson cannot return soon enough. Thankfully for the Raiders, they get the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend.
