Raiders Looking To Trade WR Seth Roberts

Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports that the Raiders would like to trade WR Seth Roberts for a draft pick, but he says they may have to wait until Day 3 of the draft to move him.

Last night, the Raiders traded a third-round pick to the Steelers for Martavis Bryant, who joins Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson in Oakland.

Even before they signed Nelson and traded for Bryant, there was some question about Roberts’ future with the Raiders, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Roberts, 27, signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of West Alabama back in 2014. He wound up spending the season on Oakland’s practice squad before signing a future/reserve contract in December of 2015.

Roberts returned to the Raiders on a one-year, exclusive rights contract last year before signing a three-year, $12 million contract that included $6.45 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $2.5 million and $4.45 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Roberts appeared in 15 games for the Raiders and caught 43 passes for 455 yards receiving and one touchdown.
