The Oakland Raiders officially placed DB Shaquille Richardson on injured reserve after clearing waivers.
Richardson, 26, was taken in the fifth-round of last year’s draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He lasted just over a year in Pittsburgh before he was cut before the 2015 draft.
Richardson later caught on with the Cardinals and Titans before signing with the Panthers in May of 2016. Unfortunately, he was cut loose a few months later.
The Raiders signed Richardson to a futures contract this past January, but was waived on Monday with an injury designation.
Richardson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
