Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reports that the Raiders are sending S Nate Allen to season-ending injured reserve on Tuesday.
- The Raiders also signed S Taylor Mays and DE C.J. Wilson to contract, according to Vic Tafur.
Last night, reports mentioned that Allen’s MRI revealed that he has a torn MCL and a lot of swelling in his knee. However, his ACL appeared to be intact.
Allen, 27, signed a four-year, $23 million contract that included $11.8 million guaranteed with the Raiders back in March. He stands to make base salaries of $2.9 million (2015), $4.9 million (2016), $5.85 million (2017), and $4.85 million (2018) over the remainder of the agreement.
Wilson, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Packers back in 2010. He played out his four-year, $1,900,354 rookie contract with Green Bay before signing a one-year agreement with the Raiders in March of last year.
Wilson was, unfortunately, among the team’s final roster cuts a few weeks ago.
In 2014, Wilson appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and recorded 23 tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 27 defensive end out of 59 qualifying players.
