Raiders Planning To Host Ndamukong Suh For A Visit Next Week

Mike Silver of NFL Media reports that the Raiders are planning to have free agent DT Ndamukong Suh in for a visit next week.

The Raiders have long been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Suh given how much cap space they have to work with and the fact it would allow him to return to the west coast.

However, in recent days there has been a number of reports that have said that the Dolphins and possibly the Colts could be the top options for Suh in free agency.

According to reports, the tax benefits of playing in Florida could be a very appealing option for Suh, as opposed to playing in California where he would lose a large portion of money to their state income tax.

Oakland could really use a foundation player like Suh to build their defense around, but there will be a ton of interest, so even a huge contract may not be enough for them to get him under contract.

Others have said that the Giants, Jaguars, and Buccaneers could also be in the running to sign Suh.

The legal tampering period opens up on Saturday, so we should have a better idea of where things stand with Suh by the end of the weekend.

Suh, 27, is arguably the best available player in this year’s free agent class and should set the bar for defensive linemen when all is said and done.

In 2014, he recorded 51 tackles, 8.5 sacks and three pass defenses over the course of 16 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 3 defensive tackle in the league.

We have Suh currently ranked as the No. 1 player in our Top 100 Free Agents List.
