Raiders Promote LB Shilique Calhoun, Place CB Antonio Hamilton On IR

The Oakland Raiders announced Saturday that they’ve promoted LB Shilique Calhoun from their practice squad and placed CB Antonio Hamilton placed on injured reserve with a torn meniscus.

Calhoun, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2016. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.29 million contract and set to make a base salary of $565,000 when the Raiders cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

Oakland later signed him to their practice squad after he cleared waivers.

In 2016, Calhoun appeared in 10 games for the Raiders and recorded eight tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.
