Report: Raiders Have Received “Trade Feelers” For QB Terrelle Pryor

Update:

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reports that the Oakland Raiders have received “trade feelers” for QB Terrelle Pryor in recent days.

  • Marvez adds that if a trade is unable to reached in the coming weeks, Pryor is expected to be released in April.

Pryor, 24, was taken in the third-round of the 2011 Supplemental Draft by the Raiders. He still has one year remaining on his rookie contract and will make $705,000 for the 2014 season.

Last year, he appeared in 13 games and completed 57.4 percent of his passes for 1,798 yards, seven touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Pryor also contributed 576 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns as well.

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reports that the Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor has asked to be traded, not released.

  • According to Marvez, Pryor requested a trade out of Oakland back in January following the Senior Bowl.

Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie suggested that QB Terrelle Pryor could either be traded or released soon, per Tim Kawakami.

  • McKenzie also mentioned that Pryor has spoken to his agents about wanting to be released by the Raiders, per Marc Sessler.

Oakland trade for QB Matt Schaub less than a week ago, which is an obvious sign he will be their starting quarterback next season.

David White of The Fresno Bee reported over the weekend that the Raiders have a “massive crush” on the Fresno State QB Derek Carr, so it appears as though they are prepared to move forward with different options at quarterback next year.

  1. Traded? For what!? He is a scrub and not worth a draft pick. IF someone picks him up it will be for dirt cheap and as a back up. I think that the TP experiment should be put to rest and forgotten.

  2. I would not give up any draft picks for Jackson. Philly only wants a third. We can swap a pick or two with the Eagles to give them the equivalent value. Maybe we give them TP and swap third round pics. So, the Eagles get TP and they get to move up about 17 picks in the third round. If they don’t want TP, we might have to slide back in another round or possibly swap late round picks. I just don’t think we will give up another draft pick this year when we are building through the draft. I’d also prefer not swap second round picks since we may have our eye on someone with that pick that won’t be available at the end of the round.

  3. TP should just sit back and observe this year in Oakland. he should work hard on his mechanics and try to have a good preseason yr and beat Shaub and McCloin outright for the starting position.

  4. There would be no need to trade or else Pryor if he would just accept that he’s not a starting QB in the NFL and switch positions to where his athletic ability would be more useful.

    • Trade him for DeSean Jackson. But then again. Eagles will be scary with him as QB. HC Kelley coveted him. He can now get him.

      • Send him there with a 4th round pick. That should get the deal done for sure. Raiders have the cap space to take his contract on. A James Jones and Desean Jackson would be a great WR duo. Either draft Watkins at number 5 or trade your first round for a later first round and third round pick and get Carr to be your future QB
