Raiders RB Latavius Murray Doubtful For Week 5 With Foot Injury

Sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter that while Raiders RB Latavius Murray wants to play on Sunday, a foot injury makes it doubtful that he will be able to go.

Earlier in the day, Vic Tafur mentioned that Murray was not practicing today and was “pretty banged” up from their Week 4 game against the Ravens.

Should Murray be held out, the Raiders would have to turn to DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard to handle the ground game against the Chargers this weekend.

Murray, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2013. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $2.266 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Murray has rushed for 172 yards on 40 carries (4.3 YPC) to go along with four touchdowns and 10 receptions for 63 yards receiving. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 17 running back out of 50 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Murray’s injury as the news is available.
