Raiders Re-Sign RFA QB Matt McGloin & 8 Other Free Agents

The Oakland Raiders announced that they’ve re-signed three restricted free agents and six exclusive rights free agents on Monday.

The group of restricted free agents returning to the Raiders includes: QB Matt McGloin, OL Matt McCants, and Neiko Thorpe.

As for the exclusive rights free agents, the team brought back DL Denico Autry, DE Shelby Harris, TE Gabe Holmes, S Tevin McDonald, WR Seth Roberts, and LB Korey Toomer.

McGloin is the most notable player among this group. Oakland used a second-round tender on him that will cost them $2.553 million for the 2016 season.

McGloin, 26, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in 2013. He has surprisingly made the 53-man roster each year and appears to be a player the team really values.

In 2015, McGloin appeared in two games for the Raiders and threw for 142 yards while completing 71.9 percent of his passes to go along with two touchdowns and an interception.
