Raiders Re-Sign RFA Matt McCants & ERFA DE Shelby Harris

The Oakland Raiders officially re-signed restricted free agent OT Matt McCants and exclusive rights free agent DE  Shelby Harris on Wednesday.

The Raiders used a low-round tender on McCants that will run them $1,671,000 for the 2016 season. This designation gave them the right of first refusal on any contract offer he received, but wouldn’t have included any compensation had they elected to not match an offer.

McCants, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Giants back in 2012. He spent just over a year in New York before he was waived at the start of the 2013 season and later signed by the Raiders to their practice squad.

In 2015, McCants was limited to appearing in just two games for the Raiders.
