Raiders Re-Sign OT Donald Penn To A Two-Year, $14M Deal

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Raiders are re-signing veteran OT Donald Penn, who was scheduled to visit with Giants.

  • Rapoport reports that Penn receives a two-year deal worth $14 million and close to $7 million guaranteed, which will paid out in year one.
  • Last night, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reported that the Raiders were were finalizing an agreement with Penn.

Penn, 32, finished out his two-year, $9.6 million contract that he signed in 2014 after being released by the Buccaneers and was among the best available offensive tackles in this year’s free agent market.

In 2015, Penn appeared in all 16 games and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 10 overall tackle last season.

We had him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.

Smart move. Helps take some pressure off the draft in that the Raiders can now zero in on specific positions.
