Raiders Reach An Agreement With CB Mike Jenkins

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Oakland Raiders have reached an agreement with CB Mike Jenkins.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Jenkins will receive a one-year “prove it” deal from the Raiders and try for a better deal next year.

Jenkins met with the Jaguars a few weeks ago, but there’s no doubt that the Raiders had to find some help for what was the worst secondary in football. They also signed Tracy Porter to a one-year contract worth $2.5 million.

Jenkins, 28, has dealt with injuries in the past few years, but he is a former first-round pick who wound up being selected to the Pro Bowl back in 2009.

We had Jenkins listed as the No. 16 player in our recently updated Best Available Free Agents list.
