Raiders Release DE Jhaustin Thomas From Practice Squad

The OaklandĀ Raiders officially released DE Jhaustin Thomas from their practice squad on Saturday.

The Raiders’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. WR Keon Hatcher
  2. CB Breon Borders
  3. DE Fadol Brown
  4. G Jordan Simmons
  5. TE Pharaoh Brown
  6. C James Stone
  7. WR Isaac Whitney
  8. LB Deontae Skinner
  9. DB Tevin Mitchel

Thomas, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Colts cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to the Browns’ practice squad.

Cleveland cut Thomas loose a few days later and he was eventually signed by the Raiders.

During his college career at Iowa State, Thomas recorded 38 tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, four sacks, and an interception over the course of two seasons and 17 games.
