Raiders Sign CB David Amerson To Four-Year, $38M Extension With $18M Gtd

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Raiders and CB David Amerson have reached an agreement on a four-year, $38 million extension with almost $18 million guaranteed.

Amerson spent just over two years in Washington before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Raiders.

Amerson, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3.85 million rookie contract that included a $1.18 million signing bonus and was set to make a base salary of $880,123 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Amerson appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and recorded 60 tackles, four interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, a forced fumble and 26 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 14 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
