Raiders Sign OL Khalif Barnes To A One-Year Extension

Field Yates of ESPN, citing a league source, reports that the Oakland Raiders have signed OL Khalif Barnes to a one-year contract extension.

According to Yates, Barnes’ new agreement is worth a maximum value of $2 million and includes an additional $500,000 available in incentives. Barnes will make a base salary of $970,000 to go along with a $500,000 roster bonus an offseason workout bonus of $30,000.

Barnes, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2005. He finished out his rookie contract with the Jaguars before joining the Raiders in 2009.

Barnes has spent the past five years in Oakland and signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Raiders back in February.

This year, Barnes is having a decent season as Pro Football Focus rates him as the No. 27 offensive tackle out of 75 qualifying players.
