The Raiders announced the signing of third-round pick G Gabe Jackson to a four-year contract on Thursday.
Oakland now has their entire 2014 draft class under contract.
Jackson should provide them with some much needed offensive line depth in the coming years. At Mississippi State, he started all 52 games at left guard over the course four years. Jackson was a two-time All-American selection and a two-time first-team All-SEC recipient.
Ourlads.com has Jackson listed as a backup to veteran G Kevin Boothe, so it appears as though he’ll need to compete with Lucas Nix for a reserve role.
