Raiders Sign Undrafted Rookie LB Chase Williams

The Oakland Raiders have signed rookie LB Chase Williams, who is the son of Rams DC Gregg Williams, to contract on Thursday, according to Casey Price.

Williams, 6-2/215 lbs, wound up going undrafted out of Virginia Tech, so this is his first opportunity in the NFL.

During his four years at Virginia Tech, Williams recorded 101 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and two passes defense over the course of 37 games.

He’ll obviously need a very impressive training camp performance to crack the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
