Raiders Signed GM Reggie McKenzie To Four-Year Extension

Raiders owner Mark Davis announced Friday night at the team’s annual “Alumni Weekend” that they’ve signed GM Reggie McKenzie to a four-year contract extension.

“Reggie’s contract was up at the end of this year, and we felt was time to reward him for the job that he has done,” said Davis.

McKenzie is now under contact through the end of the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Raiders got off to a rough start under McKenzie, but he inherited one of the worst situations in the NFL has managed to build a solid nucleus of young talent to go along with repairing the team’s financial situation to the point where they could be players for notable free agents.

Since taking the job in 2012, McKenzie has led the Raiders to a recorded of 18-46 (28.12 percent), which is obviously pretty bad. However, many feel like the Raiders could push for a playoff spot in 2016 and their arrow is pointing up overall.
