Raiders Signing C Rodney Hudson To A Five-Year, $44.5M Deal

Jason La Canfora reports that the Raiders are signing C Rodney Hudson to a five-year, $44.5 million contract.

Many expected the Raiders to be actively involved with some of the big-name free agents, but they missed out on Randall Cobb, and reportedly haven’t shown much interest in TE Julius Thomas.

However, signing Hudson is be a huge move for the Raiders, as he’s widely considered to be the best available center.

Hudson, 25, finished out his four-year, $3,506,100 rookie contract and will be an unrestricted free agent this March.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 3 center in the league out of 41 qualifying players with solid rating across the board. We had Hudson listed as the No. 18 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
